Course Objective:
Welcome to our course on Christian Theology! Our goal at Oromobiblestudy is to equip disciples of Jesus to become disciple-makers themselves. In this course, we aim to achieve the following objectives:

1. Demonstrate the meaning, purpose, importance, and nature of Spiritual Education.
2. Understand the identity of God and His attributes.
3. Explain the significance and value of the Bible as a foundational text.
4. Demonstrate the visual benefits of spiritual learning.
5. Dive deep into the meaning, unity, and differences of the Trinity.

Lesson 1: Introduction to Spiritual Education and Theology

In this first lesson, we’ll explore the concept of spiritual education, also known as theology. We’ll delve into its significance and the reasons why it’s crucial for us as Christians to study and understand. Let’s uncover the unique aspects of our God, who is beyond creation and time, making our pursuit of understanding Him all the more important.

Lesson 2: Types of Spiritual Learning

In this lesson, we’ll dive into the various types of spiritual learning methods. From exegetical theology to systematic theology, we’ll explore the ways people approach understanding God’s message. We’ll also delve into the importance of biblical theology, which aligns with our organization’s vision. By the end of this lesson, you’ll have a better grasp of the different ways we engage with God’s Word.

Lesson 3: Main Christian Doctrines and Creeds

Christian doctrines and creeds serve as foundational beliefs for believers. We’ll explore these essential statements that define Christian teaching, emphasizing the authority of the Bible, the Trinity, divinity of Jesus, salvation through Christ, and the role of the Church. By understanding these key doctrines, you’ll have a clearer picture of what it means to be a Christian.

Lesson 4: The Bible and Revelation

This lesson is all about the Bible and revelation. We’ll see how they’re intricately connected. Revelation is like shining a light on hidden truths, and the Bible is the result of that revelation. We’ll explore general revelation through nature, human conscience, history, and God’s provision. Then we’ll dive into special revelation, including voice, dreams, prophecies, and how it all culminates in the Bible—the ultimate revelation.

Lesson 5: The Holy Bible: God’s Voice and Mind

Here, we’ll uncover the incredible nature of the Bible. It’s not just a book; it’s God’s voice and mind communicated through human writers under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We’ll journey through the historical development of the Bible, its significance in human history, and its power to bless, create, heal, and shape our lives. By the end of this lesson, you’ll have a deep appreciation for the Word of God.
